Reservation

What the hell you people are. I am not going to discuss about Railway/Roadways/Airways Reservation. Its, i wanted to put my views regarding Reservation in our society system. Means to say i am going to discuss my views regarding AARAKSHAN. Its not because movie is coming. Its cause counselling session is at its hype.

Before reading below, i jut want to say that i am not against to what is nowadays facts is regarding reservation. But as we want to become DEVELOPED NATION, i believe that for that we have to be straight forward , fair and clear forward. So that without hesitation, we can easily look forward to our target not the rubble and pits in way.
Well, my brother's friend came to me today and was asking regarding the seat allotment system in IPU. I told him all about and made him sound and clear. To next he start talking about reservation system in that. Now on, IPU offered special reservation to SIKH minority people also. And he is General category person. So he was in dilemma that why his general 2000 rank is equal to and better that SC/ST/OBC 10000 ranked person. He didn't got  seat in DCE while his SC friend having lower rank get it easily. He was feeling kind of ashamed of that. He was in agony regarding this system. As till now SC/ST/OBC are there and now on Sikh reservation is also given like that.

Well, i too also against such system. I too think, why studying in INDIA is so much complex while in other countries its so easy. Well, now days people are getting smarter and smarter. And they also know how and when to deal what . Rules which are made nowadays for welfare are used for profit. I don't blame anyone as all are in same marsh which is just weakening us.

Thing is, 50 years ago, none of the SC/ST people come out to study. they are just forced to do work either by nature or by society pressure. So, Drafting committee of the constitution of INDIA, made a specific Article for them so that they can came out and help to make INDIA a developed country. Till few years nothing happened. But after some decades, minorities start thinking bout them and their bright future through that reservation factor. This reservation is, in fact, is kind of BONUS given to them so that they can easily come out check their tits. And they did. even they are honored and were welcomed by society as they were looking bright future of their nation.

But, as time changes, circumstances changes. Something strict happened to any minority, all minority stand united for that person. To this i say, its fact as all these people are not intellect. And what they have is only their unity to stand against such thing. Same thing is done by other caste people and they fight for themselves. You know fact, Survival Of The Fittest. So, whomsoever stand strong and dominant win the fight. Also Constitution provide shield to such reasons.

In my believe, this reservation thing should be ended up by now. I think if everyone can know how to start conversation on mobile or phone calls(with a HELLO not Namaste), or if everyone can fight for reservation for their caste people, i don't think that they are so IDIOT they are provided with attractive Article in Constitution for their welfare.

I also think that its never RESERVATION all behind such reasons. Fact is Whenever you see a cracking in the wall , you must get sure that one day it will fall down, Means that if their come DIVISION its should be either perfect or else not. But this Caste system is such a crack in Humanism in our society which can never be mended if all think upon it. I believe if everyone look their target together in same way with same  feeling, achievement is very easy. But with different thinking of each other make our target far enough. I am not saying we should just watch and let it pass to our offspring. Its a fact on which we should act with togetherness so as to make them safe in FUTURE. If this caste system is erased from our way ... i think way become to short to move on.

I need to know your bright comments so that i can understand what you people think on my point of view and regarding Reservation.

  1. Excellent article mate! And excellent topic chosen too! Your writing reminds me of my another buddy VK: full of intellect, but the article somewhat gets diminished with a spate of typing and grammatical mistakes. But well worded views, nevertheless.

And you are writing this after a long long time, so welcome back! I saw that you have written a few drafts in XP-ME but didn't go to complete any of them.

Well your this posts is over 750 words (something I stride for) which I guess is a little long, so would have taken a long time to write. I advice you to keep writing even if it's just 500 words or even less.

The main thing is maintain a momentum of writing, long & comprehensive views will then come automatically! Good Luck!

  2. Coming to the post itself, well in fact I am writing something on the same topic, so won't like to say too much.

But I agree with you that reservation system is being more abused than actually used in the society. I have also suffered somewhat the same experience as you have mentioned about your bro's friend, so I know it doesn't feel great!

I am not a big supporter of Reservation, but then I wonder what would my stand be if I would have benefited from it!

The main problem I think is that of the lack of ample opportunities here in India that instead of striving for it, we try and take a short cut.

  3. Regarding opportunities, India is rich in resources but it don't have strategies to use it wisely. Hence we lack in opportunities. So, people opt to take short cuts too.. and i think they took that step under pressure but wisely. Papi Pet ka sawal hai !! :D

  4. One important thing:

If you are writing for yourself, it's fine. But if you want others to read this and comment you need to go out and tell others about it via message/mail/twitter/fb/buzz/in person etc.

Don't expect others to come and see your blog from time to time. I also saw this post by chance only.

  6. well u gotta have some view on this topic.

Don't be afraid/ashamed to take side here. There is no single way for this situation anyway.

  7. tht is the sensitive topic and can stir up unnecessary debate here.

btw i have ambivalent view abt this .on 1 side i think its a way to put the ppl ahead of fast runners which r left behind and tht is not at all fair and acceptable.
but at the same time we should also see the circumstances tht lead to this reservation thing. a strata of society cannot get thriving environment , opportunities , support . so either we make things available to them at grass root level or reserve something which they r not entitled to . and some do have talent and skill so tht they can make the most of it and can be proved the most deserving candidate for that opportunity.

hope movie arakshan will remove the shrouds over the topic
@writer ...u wrote a big article ..thoda short mein samajhao na....

  8. Can stir up debate? Sure! Unnecessary? I don't think so.

Well, I think we are grown ups already to care about these things. Looking the other way is not the solution. Of course, debating may not solve the problem itself but we get share our views with each other.

And, I think we are mature enough to keep our views separate from the fact that whether we get to benefit from Reservation or not.

  9. Great style of writing and selection of metaphors XP! Cool!

Well as you said, in ancient times there were some castes that were suppressed and were never given a chance to rise up because of the thrust of the "upper castes". This trend carried on to several generations making the whole pedigree (and a lot of them) unenlightened. Now that was clearly NOT fair.
So after independence, constitution writers did this thoughtful task to provide them with some opportunities and resources to bring them to the same level. This was little to compensate for what has been done in the past, but it was something sharp and effective. So at that time it was all justifiable.
Though talking about modern times, I don't think the reservation system is needed anymore. I dont have knowledge about every village, nook and corner of India so I could be wrong but I think the emancipation has been done.
If the reservation system was brought to bring equality then it is ironic that it is doing the opposite at the current frame of time.
I dont think that adequate and skilled people will get bothered a bit/byte if they discard Aarakshan.

  12. @Anonymous I think i have written much too long as this topic is too debative. so i wrote this much to make explain each point i made. as der is reasons behind. Still i will try to make my further Blog bit shorter. Thnx fr sharing ur view.

I wud also rather say same.. as this topic is NOT gud for DEBATE matters. PPl only will shout and no conclusion will come. Thing is we all have to change our mind set regading this. Any change come only when u see a PICTURE from DIFFERENT VIEW. Picture, in which u r looking, is gud nuf.. but if u change view , may b it look much much better
